In the presence of now

By on 31 views 5 Comments

Picture of some walking in a stream in natureToday I had the urge to add some words in a straight line. As I wrote them, they seemed to settle into the format of a poem. So here it is, would be wonderful to gain some feedback, critique or comments.

In the moment of is, becomes a passing was

The attachment of labels changes its form

The mind of thought creates a meaning

The was, label, form, thought, meaning disappear

We are inside of now beyond words

As we arrange the duality of paradox

We create a space for purity to arise

Within this place of nothing, now our worlds unite

    Hi S.S.Steve,

I think I can catch a glimpse of the idea behind your words.
It occurs to me quite often lately that the true value and meaning of ourselves and all creation is to be found beyond the meaning of words, as their capability of expression is far too limited to desribe the immeasurable wonder of what we are. Words, language and even thoughts, are in a certain way just temporary cristallizations of energy. We may think and speak as much as we want; knowledge, wisdom and true conciousness only bubbles up from the world of absolute silence, and it is only within this “universe of nothing” that we can experience our connection with each other and all that is. Right here and right now, beyond the illusions of time and space, indeed.

    Thanks for sharing !

    Hi Walker

Many thanks for your insights expressed through your words.

I love what you have written, in particular “Words, language and even thoughts, are in a certain way just temporary crystallizations of energy”
With your creative way of writing and description of your thoughts have you yourself ever written poetry or considered doing so?
Thanks for your comments most appreciated.

Poetry is kind of unexplored territory for me, Steve, although I can enjoy reading it. I’ve always considered it to be the twilight zone between the materialism of words and the abstraction of the mind. But no, no real attempts so far.

Thank you for calling my writing creative. In all modesty, I do have the impression that my way with words could be qualified as “above average”(and certainly yours), but I never looked at this being a personal quality, as something that I own.

Especially when expressing myself in my own language, where no energy is drained by translation, I have the impression that my mind is not really the source of my inspiration, but rather a higher creativity flowing through me. It’s my opninion that is the case for all kinds of human talent, no matter through what channel it surfaces. It’s just divinity manifestating itself.
That is why observing it, wether it’s a painting, literature, music, architecture or whatever, can be so deeply moving, as we experience a confrontation with our source.

Hey, before I leave, let me throw a little mind teaser at you, still about the illusion-of-time issue.
Imagine that there would be no movement at all in our solar system or in the universe. No spinning of our own earth, no circling around the sun... By consequence, all life form would be concentrated on the “bright side” of our planet. There would no day or night, no seasons, so no clocks, no calendars, no time perception whatsoever.
What would it be like ?
    Would we sleep ?
Would we age (at the same rate) ?
What about concepts like past or future ? Like history ?

It makes one wonder, doesn’t it ?
See you around in the lounge !

    Hi Walker

Thanks again for your reply and inspiring views.
Poetry ... My best mate challenged me to write some based on a conversation we had. All of a sudden my mind and heart opened and out it flowed. Who knows what happens when we step into something new?

Am I to assume that your communication with us here on the lounge is in your second language? It makes it even more remarkable, you really do have an amazing way of expression and I can only acknowledge and admire your ability.

Thanks also for stepping into the forum with your little mind teaser. I have part replied so far.

Thanks for your wonderful communication it just makes my experience here in the lounge so much more rewarding.
Love Peace and respect to you
