Angeldelight: Who are the team behind Open Lounge? (bios, dreams, visions etc.)

David (LBS):  Hi Angeldelight and thanks for your question.
The team behind openlounge are the contributors and the webmaster Matt.
Except for Matt, you can find our bios, interests, dreams, visions etc in our own writings in the blogs and the forum.
Of course, we are openly sharing OpenLounge with our visitors, so the team ‘behind’ OL grows daily.

Lots of people: How do I embed a video in a post or a comment?

David (LBS):  There seems to be some confusion over how to properly embed a video from one of the streaming services (YouTube, Vimeo, Mega-Video) so here is how to do it correctly so that the video shows up in the text, not as a link:

1. In the comments section:

First, go to the video on the streaming site, e.g. YouTube.

Somewhere near the video you will see a link or button saying ‘Embed’. On Youtube, you need to click the ‘share’ button in order to see the embed button!

Click the embed button and you will see a bunch of highlighted code. Copy and paste that code into the comment area on a seperate line without any spaces or text preceeding it.

WordPress should recognize the embed code and auto-embed the video.

2. In the forum:

It’s a bit simpler in the forum because SPF, the plugin we use to drive the forum, is quite clever.

In a forum post, you simply need to copy and paste the URL to the video you wish to embed.

This would be the URL you can see in the first image, which would be reflected in your browser address bar.
