Whatever I try to give you
You still want more
What good will this lovin do you
I’m not that sure
Hold UP, I’m Tired
My heart is slowing down
Enough, so tired
My heart is slowing down
It always seems like
I’m out of line
Can’t do all the things I feel like
You take my time
Hold UP, I’m Tired
My heart is slowing down
Enough, so tired
My heart is slowing down
My Love’s breaking me all up to pieces
I don’t wanna bring you no hurt no more
Can’t bear to see your love break to pieces
It’s not easy to give it one more try
But you know I can mean it
It’s not easy to say I’m sorry
Hold UP, I’m Tired
My heart is slowing down
Enough, so tired
My heart is slowing down

I’m of the opinion that wisdom can only be gained from direct experience, and the best way to get experience is to play ALL OUT!
On a metaphysical level, when you give yourself freely and completely to something with absolutely NO withholds, NO limitations, NO ‘save it for later’, you create an energy vacuum which the Universe delights in filling with really cool stuff!
You may not get what you thought you wanted, but you always get something very special, unique and absolutely what your soul most needs at the time.
I may cast my attention into the pit of now and ask it to report back on what is going on. Unfortunately, as soon as the report lands on my desk, I’ve lost presense and am immediately into memory.
Trying to regain that state of presence by looking for the object/energy pattern I had just sensed (i.e. trying to map the memory back onto the experience I just had) only gets in the way of presence, because of course I am invoking the past (the memory) and locking my attention on the concept rather than the experience.
To ‘regain’ presence, I must give up trying to ‘get back’ somewhere, so in effect, it is impossible to regain any experience. What we must do instead is to regain a state, which is the state of open sensing. ‘What is there now?’ Feel the energy pattern. ‘What is there now’. Feel the new energy pattern.
If you’ve read the previous articles, you’ll be aware that the usual arguments for prohibition (addictive, dangerous, gateway drug, health hazards etc) are all pretty much debunked as myth, and even if some scientific research appears to agree with the myths, it still isn’t possible to paint MJ in a worse light than either tobacco or alcohol.
Hey, just to be clear, I’m not personally putting the herb into the same category as alcohol and tobacco in terms of it’s potential danger to the human body, but if we are addressing the fear mongering about cannabis, it’s a useful analogy to keep in mind.
If our society can allow, tolerate and in many instances promote and encourage the consumption of alcohol and tobacco, why not do the same for a safer, less addictive drug that has a gazillion additional health and social benefits?
This time, we’re going to look at the claims for Marijuana’s medicinal properties.
In July this year (2011) the US federal government (DEA) decreed that Marijuana “has no proven medical use”. The ruling comes 9 years after medical MJ users petitioned the government to reclassify Cannabis and take it off the schedule A list.
Firstly, one wonders why a government agency has taken such a profoundly biased position, given the wealth of evidence to the contrary and the fact that 16 of the US states disagree enough to make medical MJ legal, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves ...
Until 1941, Marijuana featured prominently in the US Pharmacopia.
This is the second of a series of articles I intend to write on the much misunderstood and maligned weed. Today, we’ll take a look at some of the regularly quoted statements made by those that would like to keep Cannabis on the list of dangerous narcotics. Those that are friendly towards cannabis, refer to these statements as Myths:
Myth: (noun) an unproved or false collective belief that is used to justify a social institution.
I didn’t particularly enjoy writing this article. It’s dry, factual and boring IMO, and in my world, personal experience is the only thing that really counts. Still, it’s good to know that all those fears carried by the majority of people, even those who enjoy the occasional puff of weed, are unfounded and a product of propoganda, not reality.
It’s a common theme of new age teachings to declare that one creates one’s own reality. In fact, I’ve been parroting this line for decades without really having any thorough understanding of the implications of this statement.
As I started to get a bit of a glimpse of the potential truth of it, that we do in fact create our experience of the world moment by moment, I realised how the general use of the phrase by the candles and incense brigade was yet more ‘light worker garbage!’
So I challenge all of you who like to think that you create your own reality, to sit in quiet reflection and declare “it’s ALL good” and really feel what comes up. I think you might surprise yourself and am intrigued to read your experiences in the comments section.
As consciousness continues to evolve and more people cross the bridge to a place of agenda-less contribution, leaving finance, security and survival way behind, I predict 2 specific roles will emerge: The Wandering Mystic and The Activist.
As a die-hard Activist, who moonlights occasionally as a WM, I have a suspicion that the latter role is where we are headed as a species, yet the road from here to there, in a 3D context, requires human input in the form of massive fundamental changes. IMO, only the Activist role is willing or capable of taking on this level of 3D involvement. Put another way, if the WM were to take on the challenge, they would very soon fall into the role of The Activist.
I’ve decided to begin a short series of articles on this much misunderstood and maligned little herb.
There’ll be no “Dude, I was soooooo wasted” kind of stuff here though. But hey, if you’re looking for that, you’re on the wrong website
My intention is to cover several issues: Safety, Social Stigma, Medicinal Value, the Spiritual Context, Governmental and Big Business Disinformation, and finally, maybe, some personal experience of working with the plant.
If you’ve information to add, or would like to contest my assertions, sources or opinions, please do so in the comments section – but be NICE! If it looks like a particular topic is generating a healthy discussion, I’ll start a forum thread so we can discuss more freely.
Most westerners I speak to, and non-westerners too, are so invested in the monetary system, they will do almost anything to save it, including allowing themselves and their families to be enslaved by it for generations to come. Most people, particularly those who own computers and hang out on the internet, have come to some kind of status quo with money and the monetary system. The idea of removing or radically changing a system they have come to live with is very scary and therefore bound to be resisted or rejected.
I’ve read many posts referring to the fact that ‘the current system works’ even though it may not be perfect. Well, tell that to the 25,000 children that die EVERY SINGLE DAY from totally preventable hunger, caused not by a lack of available food, but by the lack of access to food, maintained by the monetary system. Tell it to the millions dieing annually from preventable malaria, not because the technology is missing to ‘tame’ mosquito populations, but because the monetary system perpetuates a condition of poverty in specific areas. I’m sure you can think of a hundred other examples.
Many believe our current debt predicament is by design, and whilst it is hard to accept that a global system has been developed in order to create misery, suffering and effective slavery for the majority of the world’s population, the facts speak very clearly.
