In the spirit of Ali’s generous post with lyrics for the final MusicVideo of TIT, (yeah I know, maybe that 3 letter acronym needs some work 
), here is my first attempt.
Feel free to offer comments, suggestions, corrections, ideas etc
Go easy, it’s been a long time since I tried my hand at poetry!
Words in blue are the ones I’m least comfortable with 
Words in green are the ones I’m most fond of (attached to!)
Really, I have no clue what I’m doing. Help!
Compassion
[solo bit to piano or solo acoustic guitar]
If I asked you to love me, would you play your part?
If I asked you to heal me, would you open my heart?
Will you still my frantic mind, show me peace and poise,
Feelings felt and visions held, empty vessels make no noise.
Silence is the window to a space I now remember
Where time dissolves, there is here and I am Now forever.

[don't like this next verse at all - but it feels like there should be one here!]
Speak to me in your language of light,
Teach me to see with second sight,
OM TARE TUTTARE TURE SOHA

[build of tempo and intensity]
[next bit may suit rap - anyone got Snoop's phone number?]
Shadows cast by our illusion,
Labels fixed to hold delusion,
Ego works to add confusion,
Spirit’s whisper, mere allusion
[instrumental bit here - (needs a cello riff in there somewhere) - finally ending on a dramatic "pregnant pause" which ties into some awesome image on the screen. Then back to solo for the last verse ]
Ready to perceive, willing to witness
Open to the timeless flow, I know this bliss
Sensations washing over me, visions grace my eyes
When a single tear is shed, the whole world cries.

The lyrics look great, David, but to be honest, and far from being an expert on this, they don’t resonate with me yet. Song lyrics never do, when I look at them naked like this (I mean the words...)
But combined with music they come alive, and when images join in magic can be created. And I know that the talent for doing just that is abundantly present in your heart.
The change of atmosphere created this way in your trial video, from cheerfulness to drama is genious, and a proof of it.

To be honest, I am really not satisfied with the lyrics. One or two lines can stay, but the rest came from agenda’d mind and has to go!

I’m no poet myself, but I’ve tweaked a few lines...check it out and see if any of it works for you

It’s funny, cos I recently felt the lyrics needed reworking from scratch, and instead of talking about the state of compassion, they should be written from within that state!
I was going to take this post down but decided to leave it up as an example of how not to write lyrics!! Glad I didn’t remove it, as I still think there is something good in there, just needs a bit of refining.
Don’t knock it, you’ve made a great start
And I really like what you’ve come up with.
Get into your compassionate state...you’ll either get inspiration for refining the existing lyrics or the perfect words will magically appear.
If you need help getting into a state of compassion, get yer wings out!

Thanks for the reminder. I had actually put a smilie up but not coded it yet. Yours has flapping wings though, so I’ll put that one instead/also!
